Tuesday is the registration deadline for the Alzheimer's Association of Augusta's eighth annual educational symposium, "Alzheimer's and Dementias: A Wake Up Call," to be held from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Saturday at the Gordon Club in Fort Gordon.

A benefit for the 93rd Signal Brigade Family Readiness Group will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Imperial Theatre, 745 Broad St., with a raffle, silent auction, door prizes, entertainment, video conference to soldiers in Iraq and information on adopting a soldier.

First Baptist Church of Evans will hold its inaugural community yard sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (March 10 if it rains) at the church, on Belair Road at Washington Road. Spaces are available for sellers, with fees donated to youth missions and summer camp.
First place winners in the Relay for Life 3-on-3 basketball tournament are: Wesley Gower (from left), Jonathan Holley, Sean Petro and Chad Sweeney. The tournament was held March 4 at Harlem Middle School gym and raised $1909.25 for the American Cancer Society. Ten teams entered the tournament.
